Established 40 years ago, The Project exists today because of the tireless advocacy of community members like you. TPQC started in the back of bars and motel rooms during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic when good human beings recognized the need for an organization to support those dying from the virus. Our work has shifted and grown over the last four decades, but our commitment to serving community remains as steadfast as ever.

Today, TPQC is proud to provide a full spectrum of affirming healthcare and supportive services across our community including no-cost sexual health services, behavioral health, supportive services for people living with HIV, and LGBTQ+ healthcare. We are an organization rooted in the humans we care for with a commitment to creating a world where all people have access to the care they need to live freely and fully.

As we celebrate 40 years of service, we do so through the words and imagery of the timeless classic The Wizard of Oz. Since the very beginning, The Project’s has been guided by our belief in belonging, chosen family, and resilience in the face of adversity. Iconic cultural touchstones like The Wizard of Oz represent these values for many, especially for a community often in search of home.
