Teri Underhill is a hibiscus pop creative based in Iowa but with roots tied to Maui, Hawai’i. Back in 2023, hundreds were affected by the unfortunate fires in Lahaina, Maui including Teri’s own family and friends.  For the pride of AAPI month (Asian American Pacific Islander month), Teri has decided to use her platform to continue raising funds for families in need of assistance in Maui especially as there is a local Hawaiian community found right here in the Midwest.  Money that will be used on housing, food, education, medical and more for individuals displaced by the fires.  Proceeds will be donated to “Help Maui Rise” where Teri will select individual families in need that have gone through the verification process on Help Maui Rise and send them money evenly. Back in October 2023, Teri put together Mālama Maui at XBK in Des Moines, Iowa which helped raise funds of over $3,000. Those funds were split between 8 different families on Maui.
