State Historical Society of Iowa Store

Founded in 1857, the State Historical Society of Iowa has a long history of preserving and providing access to Iowa’s historical resources. With a dual mission of preservation and education, it maintains a museum, two research centers, preservation office, and eight historic sites. The society preserves and provides access to Iowa’s historical resources through a variety of statewide programs, exhibitions and projects while serving as an advocate for Iowa’s past and connector to the future.

Join the State Historical Society of Iowa each March for a special commemoration of Iowa History. Iowans of all ages are encouraged to learn more about the people and places that have shaped the land for more than 13,000 years. Find out more at iowaculture.gov/history/IowaHistoryMonth

Proceeds from the sale of Iowa History Month items benefit the Iowa Historical Foundation which has a mission to generate support for the State Historical Society of Iowa and its programs.
