NASW Iowa Chapter - National Association of Social Workers
A mission of NASW is to support the advancement of the social work profession in all settings: academia, business, child welfare, clinical, community, criminal justice, educational, government, health, hospitals, industry, mental health, planning, public health, private practice, policy development, and victim services. The Iowa Chapter is a resource for social workers in Iowa. NASW-IA also serves as a voice for social workers and their clients with both the legislative and the executive branches of the state government. Professional social workers are found in every facet of community life—in schools, hospitals, mental health clinics, senior centers, elected office, private practices, prisons, military, corporations, and in numerous public and private agencies that serve individuals and families in need. Many also serve as social and community service directors.
