CORNival Store
The Altoona Arts & Culture Commission is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the very first acre of commercial hybrid seed corn, grown and harvested here in 1923. The main attraction will be a summer-long exhibition of six-foot tall fiberglass corn sculptures, each uniquely brought to life by a local artist. The sculptures will remain a city-wide showpiece of public art for years to come. We are excited to host you and your family this summer at multiple fun events in celebration of 100 years of hybrid seed corn, right here in Altoona, Iowa! Join us this 4th of July for the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand kick off of CORNival! There will be many things to do and see at Haines Park, you don't want to miss out on the fun!
