CMC was founded by the Sisters of Mercy who named the center after their founder, Sister Catherine McAuley. McAuley believed that education was the ultimate answer to the struggles of those in poverty. After more than 36 years, CMC continues that mission through education services, resource navigation and supportive and transitional housing for women.
